GRANTMAKING PRIORITIES
Southern Tier West Development Foundation's discretionary grantmaking supports a variety of local community and economic development activities and is focused in the following areas:

(1) Planning
The goal of the Planning priority is to build the capacity of community leaders to plan, organize and implement their community economic development initiatives.

(2) Community Economic Development
The goal of the Community Economic Development priority is to help advance locally planned community and economic development activities.

(3) Leadership and Capacity Building
The goal of the Leadership and Capacity Building priority is to enhance the skills and abilities of local individuals, organizations and communities to identify, access, and sustain community and economic opportunity.

The STWDF will only consider projects that:

- Complement the mission and objectives of Southern Tier West Development Foundation;
- Encourage, foster and rely upon local citizen participation;
- Enhance or build local citizens and community capacity;
- Have leveraged and committed dollar for dollar local matching resources.
